Christmas Luminaries   Page 1 of 2   Next>> Luminaries are unique large quart size candle jars. I love the olde thyme look of vintage Christmas postcards and these images are used to create my one of a kind lighted luminaries. What makes them unique is when you add a votive, tealight (or battery operated flickering tealight) to the inside, the image on the front of the jar "glows". These look great in your primitive cabinets, shelves, in windows for decoration or to light a walkway, even on the front porch steps! Makes a wonderful & unique gift! My luminaries look like the olde time vintage mason or ball jars. Any glass container I can get my hands on! They have been hand-painted, some are rolled in my grungy mix & spices. They are dusted in cinnamon and spices, and finished off with their own unique embellishments and hand-dyed cheesecloth or pip berries. Some are decorated with rusty bells or beaded embellishments, even mica snowflakes or German glass glitter. They have been sealed for preservation. Jack Skellington Luminarie #145  Whats This Jack Skellington Luminarie Whats This? Whats This? There's magic in the air! A cute little image of a Jack Skellington from the Nightmare Before Christmas is on this luminarie done in black and Speckled in snowflakes! Singing his famous song "whats this" as he holds onto a snowflake seen for the very first time! The top is finished off with black grungy cheesecloth, and embellished with a tiny beaded strand with hanging sparkly snowflake. Little Christmas Girl Luminarie #17  Vintage Girl Christmas Luminarie This luminary is done in a sharp vineyard green, it gives a nice compliment to the tree the little girl is toting over her shoulder. She is dressed for winter in cream old fashioned snowsuit. The postcard image reads, "may you have a merry Christmas". The top of the luminary is tied off with hand dyed cheesecloth in a brighter green, and is topped off with a rusty safety pin and two rust bells on each side. REACH FOR THE STARS #134  Reach for the Stars REACH FOR THE STARS This luminary is done in black with a gloss finish. It has a mate that matches in my shop here as well. The outside has been speckled to look like falling snow and there are stars all over it as well. The back has the word "dream" stenciled on it. The top of the luminary is tied off with coffee stained cheesecloth and a rusty safety pin and rusty bell on the side.
